Community. Care. Culture.
Assisted Living at the Masonic Homes
The right support can empower maximum independence, which is always the goal at the Masonic Homes of California. With a plethora of choices of care levels, a la carte services, and living styles, our aim is to provide the highest quality of care so you can enjoy the highest quality of life.
Most assisted living organizations approach assisted living as a homogenous, “one size fits all” solution, when in fact, every person’s needs are unique to them. That’s why we offer traditional assisted living in our historic buildings, as well as our enhanced, higher care living designed in more homey surroundings at the Pavilion. Perhaps someone simply needs more social connections or better dining options, but not medical care. Others may need more personal support on a regular basis. Every story is different, and so is our approach to empowering each individual with the right combination of resources.
The Masonic Homes offers a wide spectrum of living environments to provide the support uniquely suited to each person’s individual needs.

The Pavilion: A Home for Living Fully—with Enhanced Support
For those who need more mobility support or those with mild cognitive decline.
Our newest offering, our Pavilion neighborhood was designed as a smaller scale living environment with a very residential feel for those who need higher levels of support. This intimate neighborhood offers 24/7 support for those with more complex needs—often the kind of care people think they can only find in a skilled nursing environment.
A modern, light-filled setting, the Pavilion is a warm, family-style environment where just a handful of neighbors share a living room, open kitchen, and relaxed dining space. Here, you’re surrounded by familiar faces and a team who truly knows you. It’s a community where people and relationships come first, and a helping hand is always there. This is a care model where our team learns what makes you feel most like you, and then builds your care and daily rhythm around that.
Love sleeping in and easing into the day? We’ll have breakfast ready when you are. Prefer long afternoons soaking up the sun or quietly listening to music? We’ll make sure your favorite chair is waiting. At the Pavilion, everything revolves around you.

The Historic Head and Adams Buildings: Living History
The Head Building, a historic setting for those who need light to moderate assistance, is named for Ralph H. Head, one of the most dedicated and accomplished Masons in state history, who served for many years as president of the Masonic Homes Board of Trustees. Built in 1898, the central building, with its impressive brick façade, feels like an upscale, boutique hotel featuring gorgeous Masonic architecture, beautifully crafted woodwork, and stunning views. Independent living residences are also offered in the Head Building.
The recently renovated Adams Building offers three floors of upscale, assisted living apartment homes. In addition to open dining and living areas on the residential floors, the ground level serves as a vibrant hub for the entire campus community. Here, residents enjoy a spacious great room and bar, a library, media room, and a billiards lounge spilling out to the outdoor gardens, all designed for relaxation and connection. French doors and floor-to-ceiling windows create a seamless link to the outdoors, enhancing the open, airy feel. Conveniently located near the general store, dining room, chapel, lounges, and ceramics studios, the Adams Building is ideal for those who enjoy a lively, social environment while still valuing the privacy of their own personal space.
